Welcome for visiting the website of Support for Technical and Allied National Development Services – Nepal (STANDS – Nepal). STANDS-Nepal is a non-profit making and non-governmental development organization established by young and energetic professionals having knowledge and experience in the field of water supply, health, hygiene and sanitation, capacity building and social development. The organization has successfully completed its 19 years of program operation in partnership with a number of national as well as international development partners.

The main objective of STANDS - Nepal is to uplift the socio-economic condition of poor, underprivileged and downtrodden people especially the rural communities by conceptualizing, formulating and facilitating implementation of community-managed development projects through their active involvement and participation in decision making in all phases/steps of the program implementation. 
STANDS - Nepal has relevant past experience in areas of implementing community development programs such as income generation/livelihood promotion, natural resource management, water supply and sanitation, capacity building, rural infrastructure development, community/social mobilization, awareness raising etc. carried out with participatory approach and has worked with diverse socio – ethnic groups. The organization has also conducted a number of socio-economic studies; impact assessment, baseline surveys and monitoring and evaluation of the development programs. 
In line with the Local Self Governance Act (LSGA), 2055 and its Regulation 2056 of GoN, during the implementation of the projects undertaken, STANDS-Nepal has worked in coordination and collaboration with local bodies (DDC/VDC and Municipalities) of the respective district. Similarly, during the implementation of Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) program, the organization has also focused on the capacity building of District WASH Coordination Committee (D-WASH-CC), Village WASH Coordination Committee (V-WASH-CC) and Municipality WASH Coordination Committee (M-WASH-CC) including schools, local institutions, networks, Local NGOs/CBOs and other stakeholders to ensure sector coordination, harmonization and alignment in program implementation.
